1. The programme is about our shared, not individual, discipleship. Why this focus?

  • disciples learn together with purpose
  • disciples worship together creatively, to relate to their world
  • disciples listen to God and each other
  • disciples do mission together, to make a difference in the world

2. So what will be the BENEFITS of the programme for the church?

  • value the diversity within the Body of Christ
  • value how different disciples learn and grow differently
  • help people grow in confidence
  • help make connections between different areas of a church’s life
  • help the church make an impact on the world around it

3. What form will it take?

  • the whole programme will consist of 15 sessions
  • they are presented in 5 short booklets (for every participant to have)
  • some additional/ optional materials are downloadable from this website, and on the pack’s CD
  • it will be flexible, to help churches shape it to suit their situation

4. Will we need an experienced leader?

  • no, the notes are designed for a range of people to use, so different people get the chance to take the role of guiding the group
  • it’s not about leading people to particular answers, but encouraging the church to explore & think & talk together

5. But is it all talk?

  • no, every session can be explored in 3 different ways:
    1. discussion (exploring a bible story & some questions)
    2. creative (something hands-on)
    3. resource (a worship resource, or task to help the church generate its own resources)
  • several sessions invite the group to make proposals to Church Meeting, to help churches explore new possibilities for action
